NEW YORK, NY – AirTran Airways is activating a marketing relationship with Andretti Green Racing with a program at New York's LaGuardia Airport. The activities involve faux pit crews staffing AirTran's passenger ticket counter, helping with luggage and generally expediting check-in.

The pit crews will comprise look-alikes of racer Danica Patrick. Passengers will exit the check-in area by crossing a "finish line" between two checkered flags.

Besides the fast-check-in theme, the effort raises the flag on an Indy/Car Series promotion, in which people can get trips to races this season, with seats at Andretti Green's pit at Pit Lane.
