New Flights to Toronto for New Yorkers

NEW YORK, NY – By the end of this month, travelers flying between the New York area and Toronto will no longer have to make the 40-minute trek from the Lester B. Pearson Airport into downtown Toronto. Porter Airlines, a regional passenger carrier with a downtown hub at City Center Airport, will expand its service to include Newark Liberty International Airport starting March 31.

The Porter Airlines terminal at City Center Airport, which sits on an island in Toronto Harbor, has a new lounge and business center with free refreshments and wireless Internet access, and provides free shuttle service to Union Station, the main train station. There will be seven daily round-trip flights between Toronto and Newark, as well as two on Saturday and three on Sunday, using 70-seat Bombardier Q400 turboprops, above. One-way fares start about $120, excluding fees and taxes.
