$600 B&B Experiences That Will Stimulate You and the Economy
LAGUNA BEACH, CA – American Historic Inns, the nation’s leading publisher of B&B guidebooks, challenged innkeepers throughout the United States to create the ultimate B&B tax stimulus vacation. “We asked innkeepers to create exotic adventures that would create lasting memories,” explained Deborah Sakach, president of American Historic Inns. “We wanted to get people to try something new and see what diverse experiences our country has to offer. You can drive a Model T through Yosemite or glide on a canopy line cable through the trees in Georgia, or embark on many other amazing adventures.”

Northeast
Artful Getaway, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Rittenhouse 1715's “artful getaway” concentrates on seeing the arts and experiencing some of the worlds greatest collections and amazing treasures in the grand city of Philadelphia, while being surrounded by luxurious accommodations at Rittenhouse 1715. Package includes Saturday night stay in Deluxe Queen room, continental breakfast daily, complimentary glass of wine each evening and to tickets to the Rodin Museum, which holds the largest collection of Rodin's works outside Paris, including bronze castings, plaster studies, drawings, prints, letters, and books; The Barnes Foundation, an estate home with an impressive collection of French modern art from notables such as Picasso, Cezanne, Van Gogh and Renoir. The arboretum contains a greenhouse, pond and woodland areas, as well as thousands of plants; and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, one of the largest museums in the United States.
Land & Sea, Glamour Getaway, Newport, Rhode Island
Hydrangea House Girlfriends’ “Land & Sea Glamour Getaway” will rejuvenate the mind and soul. Intended for groups of 6 or more, the package includes two nights at the inn with gourmet breakfast served daily; a wine tasting reception to catch up on all gossip; a half-day spa retreat complete with manicures, pedicures, makeup lessons, haircut and style to help worn mothers feel like a woman again and finally a private land and sea tour of historic Newport and its surrounding harbor. Of course we have free time built in to shop the quaint boutiques and walk the brick markets.
Mountaintop Rafting Adventure, Deep Creek Lake, Maryland
Lake Pointe Inn's “Mountain Adventure” includes a two-night stay in scenic Deep Creek, MD. During your stay, adventure awaits as you test your timing, reflexes and teamwork on the world’s only mountaintop whitewater rafting course. Enjoy class 1-4 rapids with a guide in a “controlled” environment. Prefer to stay dry but love adventure? The Steam Locomotive Vacation, Glen, New Hampshire
At Bernerhof Inn guests will travel The Cog, the oldest mountain-climbing railway in the world and experience real 1869 steam locomotives in action and a spectacular climb up the highest mountain in the Northeast. Package includes three nights at The Historic Bernerhof Inn in a deluxe Jacuzzi room and two round-trip tickets to the top of the Cog Railway.
Whale of a Trip, West Barnstable, Massachusetts
At High Pointe Inn, guests will set sail for a fantastic Cape Cod getaway that includes two nights in an ocean view suite with breakfast served overlooking the Great Salt Marsh, the dunes of Sandy Neck Beach and Cape Cod Bay. Fly Fishing on the Upper New River, Dan, Virginia

Includes lunch on the river, breakfast and two nights at the sprawling mountain inn set on 20 acres near the Blue Ridge Parkway.
High Adventure Zip Line Tree Flight Package, Whitesburg, Georgia

The Tin Lizzie Inn, offers you one night and a Model T or Model A Ford that you can drive and explore Yosemite. Included is a special picnic lunch for two created by your innkeeper so you can spread out a blanket by a beautiful meadow or waterfall.
Rapids, Rodeo and Sleeping in a Sheepherder Wagon, Cody, Wyoming
K3 Guest Ranch B&B offers a retro-fitted sheepherder wagon with comfy beds, a modern bathroom and in the morning, western breakfasts cooked over an open fire. The package includes passes to the Buffalo Bill Center and its five museums, the Cody Night Rodeo, and a rapids trip on the Shoshone River.
