NEW HAMPTON, NY – "The Apple Picking Gang" strikes again. We took a side trip from New York City via train to go apple picking at Soons Orchards. What a great way to celebrate a beautiful fall day!

We picked 6 different kinds of apples, sampling as we went. The General Store was adorable. They had so many tasty fall treats!! We tried natural peanut butter, fudge, hot and cold cider (that was so yummy we had to buy). They also had fresh apple cider donuts brought straight out of the oven every few minutes. Literally, the cook would put them down, and they would be gone before I could blink. But once I wrestled myself into the mob to buy one, I totally understood why: They were the best part of the whole trip!!
