CORINTH, MS – Corinth celebrated history last year with its first Historic Corinth Grand Illumination. 8,000 luminaries were lit throughout downtown and around the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center, representing the Confederate and Union casualties during the Battle of Corinth in 1862. The 2nd annual Grand Illumination is scheduled for November 7, 2009. Admission is free and includes a variety of other activities throughout the city.
