FAIRFIELD, CALIFORNIA - The 50+ flavors of America's favorite gourmet jelly bean are produced at this factory located halfway between San Francisco and Sacramento. The plant offers free factory tours daily. During the quarter-mile, self-guided tour above the factory floor, visitors see how jelly beans are made. Free samples are available along with interactive exhibits and games. After the tour, visitors can stop by the Jelly Belly Jelly Bean Art Gallery before shopping at the Jelly Belly candy store and dining at the Jelly Belly Cafe.
Another tour option is the Personal Guided Tour Experience. During this tour, groups of 1 to 6 people move to the head of the line with their experienced tour guide, go above the factory floor to see how the confections are made, receive a souvenir photo and discount card for shopping in the retail store. Tours last 40-45 minutes and cost $39 plus an online ticket processing fee.
For an exclusive and personal experience, schedule an appointment for the Jelly Belly University (JBU) behind-the-scenes, guided floor tour before visiting the factory. Participants wear lab coats, gloves and hair nets while they watch master confectioners create Jelly Belly and other confections. The tour is limited to 6 participants and costs $59/person, plus a ticketing processing fee.
