Miles of Trails

NEBRASKA - The Cowboy Recreation and Nature Trail is one of more than 145 host trails that comprise the route of the developing 3,700+ mile-Great American Rail-Trail, a signature project of Rails-to-Trails Conservancy. Spanning 321 miles between Norfolk and Chadron, the Cowboy Trail is the largest Rails-to-Trails project in the U.S. Whether biking, hiking, running or horseback riding, travelers can anticipate seeing wildlife, railroad relics, rivers, valleys, farms and prairies.
