The African Queen
KEY LARGO, FLORIDA - Built in 1912 and named the S/L Livingstone, this iconic boat was cast in the movie "The African Queen" and renamed for her starring role by Director John Huston. Also starring in this 1951 movie was Humphrey Bogart (won Academy Award for Best Actor) and Katharine Hepburn (nominated for Best Actress). Having a storied past, the adventurous Queen has been around the world twice, sank during filming and had to be raised twice. Having retired to Florida Keys, this famous steamboat is available for daily canal cruises, dinner cruises in the Port Largo Canal area and for private events.
