The Dedication Ceremony for the New Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial
WASHINGTON, DC - Honoring the legacy of the World War II Supreme Allied Commander and nation's 34th President, the new memorial features sculptures of Ike as President surrounded by advisors, as General addressing troops on the eve of D-Day and as a young boy from Abilene, Kansas. During the dedication ceremony, Voices of Service, a vocal quartet of veteran and active-duty military members, provided musical entertainment for attendees (pictured here).
Now open to the public, the Memorial is located in a newly created, four-acre public park adjacent to the National Mall and across the street from the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
