April 5, 2017 Teams with to Plug Gap in Group Travel Planning Market

World's largest accommodations search engine to partner with largest group travel site, the world's largest accommodations search engine, announced a partnership with HotelPlanner, the world's largest provider of online group hotel bookings. Under the agreement, will include inventory from HotelPlanner as an option for customers whose inquiries are too large to handle for online travel agencies.

The partnership is a breakthrough in an industry that has historically made it difficult for group travel planners to access all available inventory from a central hub. Traditional online travel agencies (OTAs) are set up to limit the amount of rooms that can be booked through a single search to anywhere from six to eight rooms. By partnering with HotelPlanner, can now give its large group users access to a worldwide database of large vacation rentals and traditional hotels. Large homes are a popular option in the group travel market due to their whole-house flexibility, affordability, and amenities, but until now they could never be compared with hotel and resort options.

" has become a tremendous resource for travelers of every type because it has the world's largest inventory of accommodations," said Tim Hentschel, CEO of HotelPlanner. "By adding HotelPlanner's specialized group sales offerings, can now offer group inventory at the lowest rates by connecting customers directly with hotel group sales managers."

Unlike other travel industry aggregators, which only capture traditional hotel listings from other online travel agencies (OTAs), aggregates data from every corner of the accommodations universe, including vacation rental services such as Airbnb, HomeAway, and VRBO; traditional online travel agencies such as Priceline, Expedia, and Tripadvisor; and dozens of other regional sites, individual listings, and hostels. The site lists all the rooms and organizes them in an easy-to-use format.

Through this partnership with HotelPlanner, customers will be able to access accurate pricing on group hotel options that are not available through traditional online travel websites.

" is focused on bringing complete transparency to the travel industry - that means providing clear-cut results on all available inventory, whether it's in a five-star hotel in New York City or an artist's hut in Tahiti," said Joseph DiTomaso, Co-founder and CEO. "We're thrilled to work with HotelPlanner to bring that critical information to the group travel planning market."
