Near Totality in Lake Cumberland, Kentucky
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY - Located about 100 miles east of the path of totality, Somerset experienced a surreal event on August 21 when the sun was about 97.7 percent covered as the moon passed in front of it and day turned to dusk. This Lake Cumberland area celebrated the eclipse with a variety of eclipse events.

In case you missed it or want to experience the event again, the next total solar eclipse visible over the continental United States will be August 8, 2024.
