A Frozen Adventure
DOOR COUNTY, WISCONSIN - Located in the popular 19-acre Cave Point County Park, this iconic carved rock was formed by the waves as high as 30 feet crashing the Lake Michigan shore and dissolving its limestone. Kayakers and scuba divers explore the dozens of underwater caverns hidden from view during warm weather months while photographers capture the beauty of all seasons including the icicles clinging to the rock formations, pictured here. The park offers hiking trails, picnic areas and scenic views of beaches and Lake Michigan. This chilly winter photo was taken by Robert M. Arlen.
