SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota – Not really the place that you would expect to see scuba divers, but for the last 5 years, scuba divers from Canada, Mexico, Florida, Arkansas, Texas, Illinois and California have arrived each February to dive under tons of ice on Wall Lake during the Ice Hole Festival. First, the bonfire on the ice during the Friday Night Ice Hole Cutting warms everyone's hearts and toes. On Saturday and Sunday, certified ice scuba divers test their skill and spirit of adventure following the underwater course during this extreme sport.
