Disney World Unveils New Attractions, Lands and Entertainment Through 2027

If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World in 2025, or even just daydreaming about one, you might want to keep an eye on some big updates headed to the parks. The Florida resort is rolling out a wave of new shows, attractions, dining spots and land expansions throughout the year and beyond, aiming to make “The Most Magical Place on Earth” feel fresher and more exciting than ever.

Here’s a rundown of what’s coming soon and what’s still a bit further out on the horizon.

More Magic and Wonder in 2025

  • A New Nighttime Parade Lights Up Magic Kingdom
Starting July 20, 2025, Main Street, U.S.A. will glow with the debut of a new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. This show is all about celebrating dreams, and features both classic and newer characters from Disney films like Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Encanto, Frozen and Moana. The Blue Fairy will kick things off, setting a dreamlike mood as the parade rolls through.

  • EPCOT’s Test Track Returns with a New Spin
Just two days later, on July 22, 2025, thrill-seekers can strap back into Test Track presented by General Motors at EPCOT. The ride has been completely reimagined, thanks to a collaboration between Disney Imagineers and GM, and it’s focused on innovation and how new technology will improve the future of transportation. Don’t worry—there will still be plenty of twists, turns, and high-speed moments fans love.

  • A Pirate Lounge Drops Anchor at Magic Kingdom
Later in 2025, Disney will open a new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge called The Beak and Barrel. Designed to look like a seafaring tavern, the immersive space will serve pirate-inspired food and drinks and offer some mysterious surprises. It’s a place where the whole crew—kids and adults—can kick back and have some fun.

  • Animal Kingdom Goes Wild with “Zootopia”
Also coming in late 2025 is Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, a brand-new 4D show at Animal Kingdom’s Tree of Life Theater. Guests will join Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other characters from Zootopia on an original adventure filled with stunning visuals and interactive elements.

  • Disney After Hours Is Back
For those who’ve dreamed of wandering the parks after dark without the daytime crowds, Disney After Hours is back in 2025. This separately ticketed event offers three extra hours in the park—plus, included snacks like popcorn, ice cream and select bottled drinks. Events will be held at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

Looking Ahead To 2026 and Beyond

  • Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Gets a Muppet Makeover
In 2026, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Hollywood Studios will relaunch as a high-energy ride featuring the world-famous fuzzy crew, complete with chaotic backstage antics and rock remixes.

  • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Gets an Upgrade
Also in 2026, Magic Kingdom’s Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will add new scenes, better ride vehicles, and gameplay updates for a refreshed galactic battle experience.

  • Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom
A new land, named Tropical Americas, is set to open in 2027, and will spotlight the landscapes and cultures of Central and South America. It’ll feature a ride based on Disney’s Encanto and another attraction inspired by Indiana Jones.

  • Piston Peak National Park at Magic Kingdom
Inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Cars universe, the new section of Frontierland known as Piston Peak National Park will be a diverse “wheelderness” packed with national park-themed sights and family-friendly thrills.

  • Monstropolis Comes to Hollywood Studios
Disney is building a Monsters, Inc.-themed land featuring a first-of-its-kind suspended coaster that lets guests zoom through the Door Vault, just like in the film.

  • Villains Land at Magic Kingdom
One of the most anticipated additions, Villains Land, will bring Disney’s most iconic baddies together in a spooky new area featuring two rides, themed dining, retail outlets and plenty of villainous flair.
