VILLAGE OF JEMEZ SPRINGS, New Mexico - Just an hour northwest of Albuquerque along Jemez Mountain Scenic Byway brings us to the Village of Jemez Springs, an area with an abundance of mineral hot springs ranging from natural, primitive springs to maintained, indoor and outdoor pools. The area also borders the Santa Fe National Forest. Here, we visited the Jemez Historic Site, walked the self-guided 1.5-mile interpretive trail, enjoyed an outdoor soak at Jemez Hot Springs and seeing Native American pottery, jewelry, clothing and art at the family-owned shops.
