Summer Gas Price Predictions

Summer driving season is kicking off with the lowest gas prices in over 17 years. Our analyst breaks down where gas prices are most likely headed this summer.

  • The lowest gas prices are likely to be behind us, as demand continues to grow.

  • Most areas of the U.S. should see relatively slow price increases, with the exception of the Great Lakes states where prices are more volatile.

  • Around the July 4th holiday, the national average will likely be around $2.15-$2.35/gal, and around $2.25-$2.50/gal by Labor Day.
