The Grand Canyon of the Pacific
WAIMEA CANYON STATE PARK, KAUAI, HAWAII - Known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, the 10-mile long Waimea Canyon - located on the western side of the island of Kauai - was formed by erosion from the Waimea River. This shot was taken from the State Park's Lookout at an elevation of 3,400 feet.
